a flip of a coin has decided…

  • Allele A will be dominant

  • Allele B will be recessive

What letter will we use for each trait?

  • Dominant

  • Recessive

Decide on a genotype for each phenotype you selected.

Identify your 3 Recessive phonotypes.

  • Label them with a recessive allele (lower case) from each parent.

Identify your 3 dominant phenotypes

label them as either:

  • heterozygous (one dominant and one recessive alelle)

  • homozygous (two dominant alleles)

    • Only one homozygous - dominant genotype is allowed.

Trade with two different individuals and double check the accuracy of your work.

Finally Get a copy of the Day 3 PArents Cromosomes Worksheet

  • Folow the directions for coloring and labeling.
